VINNOVA will finance Vigor Wave Energy AB with a grant within the program ”Forska&Väx”.

Nordic Cleantech Open reveal today what it has designated as the 25 finalists in the first Nordic environmental technology race. Vigor Wave Energy is one of the finalists!
The top 25 have a few traits in common:
- They are all targeting big international markets,
- They where founded relatively recently (a majority are less than two years old), and
- They have the potential to make real positive change for the environment.
Top 25 has been selected by a jury consisting of 32 highly experienced investors, industry people and others with extensive knowledge in the field see http://www.nordiccleantechopen.com/jury/ for full list. The jury is instructed to evaluate the business potential of companies based on three criteria: innovation, market potential and the team.
The finalists represent a very large width in the case of industries and technologies. Artificial intelligence, robotics, nanotechnology, and replacement service for used items are side by side with established cleantech sectors such as light, wind, wave and solar power
Jury member Michael Lauridsen says:
”I have made investments in this area for some years and I was surprised at the quality of incoming applications. The potential for many of these newly established companies is still very large. It was also encouraging to see promising ideas from a wide variety of Cleantech segment”
Michael Stuer Lauridsen is a partner at BankInvest New Energy Solutions. He has over 25 years experience of Schneider Electric, Siemens and ABB.
The finalists will now be convened for a networking weekend at Trolleholm castle to meet and work on their business cases with selected investors and industrials.
After this, showcasing events in London and a final event in Copenhagen is lined up for the participants.
